Introduction: ISO/IEC 9126 is an international standard proposed to make sure the quality of all software-intensive products including safety-critical systems where lives will be at jeopardy if software components fail to succeed. Part 1 of ISO/IEC 9126 contains a two-part quality model: one part of the quality model is applicable for modelling the internal and external quality of a software product, whereas the other part is intended to model the quality in use of a software product. of ISO/IEC 9126 can be used to specify both functional and non-functional customer and user requirements. This part of ISO/IEC 9126 is a revision of ISO/IEC 9126 (1991), and retains the same software quality characteristics.
